Theory

(1).Knowledge of technical terms of Sangeet-

Sangeet knowledge of the two main paddhati of Bhartiya sangeet, Dhwani, Shruti, Naad, Swar (Vikrat  and Shuddh , Chal  and Achal Swar), Saptak, Thaat, Alankar, Lay, Matra, Taal, Vibhag, Sam, Tali, Khali, Aavartan Introduction to raags.

Knowledge of Shuddh and Vikrat swar.

(2).It is essential to know the introduction of the raag groups set for this year.

(3).Knowledge of the musical instrument along with the names of its instrument parts.

(4).Knowledge of Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar and Pt. Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande’s swarlipi paddhati.

(5).Types of geet – Sargam Geet and Lakshan Geet.

(6).Practice of writing Theka of taals fixed for this year in Vilambit and  Dugun including Tali, Khali and Vibhag.

(7).Identifying a raag by looking at the given swar groups.

(8). Practice of writing Thah and Dugun lakari of the taal groups prescribed in the syllabus.

Practical

(1).Practice of singing simple Alankar in Shudha and Vikrit and komal swar.

(2).Chota Khayal in the following raag groups with two Alap and four Taans (Dhrupad gayan examinees ko Thah and Dugun laykari with Dhrupad gayan) practice of singing simple Alap in any two raags – prescribed raag – Alhaiya Bilawal, Yaman , Bhupali, Khamaj , Bhairav, Bihag and Asavari.

(3).It is necessary for the examinees of Dhrupad gayan to know one geet composed in Sooltaal and one sargam geet

(4).It is necessary to know Lakshan Geet and one Sargam Geet in any one raag from the prescribed raag group for this year.

(5).Ability to recognize raag by listening to swar vistar.

(6). Practice of recitation by showing the following taal groups:

Dadra, Keherwa, Teentaal, Jhaptaal, and Ektaal.

For Dhrupad gayan – Dadra, Keherwa, Chautaal, Ektaal and Sool Taal.

(7).National Anthem – Jan Gan Man.

(8).Geet in Keharwa and Dadra taals.

Note – The syllabus of the previous year will be combined.
