Theory
(1). Definition-Taal, Lay, Matra, Batu or Sthai, Chowk and Bhoomi Pranam.
(2). Brief history of the origin of Odissi dance.
(3). Shiro bhed and Drishti bhed.
(4). Practice of writing the theka of Jhap, Triputa and Ek Taal.
(5). Elementary knowledge of Bharat Natya Shastra.
(6). Knowledge of Devadasi and Gotipua dances.
(7). Information about Tandav and Lasya.
(8). Information about dance, dance and drama.
(9). Information about six ang, six pratyang along with their upaang.
(10). Knowledge of Jagannath religion and Mahari tradition.
(11). Elementary knowledge of Abhinaya Darpan and Abhinay Chandrika.
Practical
(1).Bhoomi Pranam, Mangala Charan and Batu dance.
(2).Position operation, Jhamp, Triputa and Ek Taal.
(3).Early Mudra, Chari and Bhramari.
(4). Knowledge of parts of a Khand.
(5). Practical knowledge of eight types of Shiro Bhed including their use.
(6).Practice in performing the four types of Girwa sanchalan including use.
(7).Practical exercise of description including use of eye expressions.
(8). Practical knowledge of Sambhang, Abhang, Tribhang and Atibhang.
(9). Practical knowledge to present Ekgun, Dugun and Chaugun Lay, especially Ektali and Rupak Taal, used in Odissi dance.
(10). Practice of Padhant.
