Definition of Lasya
(1). The dance which is accompanied by emotion and rhythm etc., is performed by the soft organs and through which the soft juices like makeup etc. are stimulated. Generally, the dance of women is called Lasya.
(2). It is said that Shiva and Parvati first danced together. Shiva’s dance is called Tandav and Parvati’s ‘Lasya’.
Type of Lasya
(3). This Lasya has been said to be of two types-Churit and Yuvat.
(4). Its ten parts have been told in literature mirror, whose names are as follows-
