(1).History of Indian Dances from Pracheen kaal to Madhya yug.
(2).Use of taal in Nirtya and Sangeet.
(3).Study of Nav Ras.
(4).Influence of western culture on South Indian Nirtya and Sangeet.
(5).Knowledge of evolution of Bharat Natyam and other South Indian dance styles.
(6).Nayak and Nayika in Indian dance.
(7).Stories of Shiv (Tandav) dance.
(8).Description of Abhinay and its four parts.
(9).Ability to transcribe learned taals and bol according to the South Indian Taal paddhati.
(10).Brief note on the following theatrical traditions- Nautanki, Tamasha, Yakshagan, Yatra
Practical
(1).Varnam – Chatutra Jati Tripta Taal or Chatustra Jati with Rupaka Taal.
(2). Lok dances of any three states.
(3).Shlokam Raag Asavari or Hans Dhwani Tistra Jati in Triputa Taal.
(4).One Padam each in Lasya and Tandav jati.
(5).Devi-Devta hast,Jati hast etc.
(6).Practical knowledge of Kirtanam or Padam.
(7).Knowledge of Padma or Ashtapadi composed by Jayadev.
(8). Ability to learn taal and bol according to the South Indian taallipi paddhati.
(9).Ability to sing shlokas of various Gods and Goddesses like Shri Vishnu and Lakshmi, Shri Ganesh, Saraswati, Shiv Stuti in different raags like Raang Bhopali, Hans Dhvani, Raag Saraswati etc.
