Theory
(1). Definition Arsa, Maan, Gadi, Mahari, Gotipua.
(2) Knowledge of Southern Sapta Taal (Dhruv, Math, Rupak, Jhap, Triputa, Atath, Ek Taal) and practice of writing it in Chaturatra Jati.
(3). Brief history of Odissi dance and suggestions for its progress.
(4). Brief description of Indian classical dances.
(5). Biography of famous dancers of Orissa dance and their contribution to dance.
(6). Knowledge of Odissi taal.
(7) Odissi dance costumes.
(8) Biography of poet Surya and Upendra Bhaj.
(9) Meaning of Abhinay and place of abhinay in dance (especially in Orissa dance)
(10).Knowledge of different stages of abhinay, for example Angik, Vachik, Aharya, Satvik.
(11). Definition of Guru, Laghu, Drut and Anudrat and their detailed description.
(12). Essay writing ability on Bharatnatyam and Kathak dance.
Practical
(1).Pallavi dance practice in Basant and Kalyan raags.
(2) Practice of dance and acting through Gopal Krishna and Banamali poetry.
(3) Triputa, Math, some sections of Jhapa and Arsa.
(4) Batu, Pallavi and Moksha dance and practical knowledge of Manglacharan.
(5). Two lok nirtya of Odisha state.
(6). Practical knowledge of the following Bhagimas and their use in dance:- Asan, Mardalankuchan, Nikuchank, Shivkara, Bhramari, Mandal, Utpalvan, Shuka Chanchu, Uttolik, Nibedna, Potala, Biraja, Asrita, Darpini and Parsa Mardla.
(7). Practical knowledge of hand postures of Natya Shastra and Abhinay Darpan.
(8). Working knowledge of the following:-
(a) Nirtya Hast
(b) Gati Bhangi
(c) Bhramari
(d) Sthanka
(e) Katikorma
(9). Fixed Locks :

(10).Knowledge of Carnataki taal.
