Theory
(1).Definition – Thaat, Lay, Tali,Khali, Sthai, Antara, Sam, Vibhag and Abhog.
(2).Knowledge of Shudha and Vikrat swar.
(3).Knowledge in relation to Saptak (Mand, Madhaya and Tar).
(4).Answer the following in brief:
- Name of a rebel poet.
- The name of a practicing musician.
- A Sufi musician.
(5).A simple introduction to the Raag group prescribed in the syllabus.
Practical
(1) Practice of four simple Alankars (in Thah and Dugun laykari).
(2) Singing practice of the following group-
- For Banga speaking people – Nazrul Geet (one), Folk Geet (one), Rabindra Sangeet (one), National Anthem (one)
- For other language speakers – Bhajan (two), regional lok geet (one).
(3).Practice of singing Swar Malika in Yaman and Bhairav Raag (in Tritaal or any other Taal)
(4).It is necessary to know one song in the following Taals –
(5).Practice of recitation the bols of the Taal group of Theka prescribed in the syllabus by showing Tali -Khali on the hands.
Note- The syllabus of the previous year will be combined.
