Theory

(1).Definition- Raag, Sangeet, Aandolan, Dhwani, Naad, Shruti, Swar, Saptak, Aarohi, Aarohi, Alankar, Vadi, Samwadi, Lay, Matra, Vibhag, Taal, Sam, Tali and Khali.

(2).It is necessary to know the general introduction of the Raag group prescribed in this year.

(3).Brief introduction – Raag Pradhan geet, Bhajans, Regional lok geet and National geet.

(4).Types of songs – Bhav Sangeet, Swar Malika, Khayal and harmony in state songs.

(5).Knowledge of any one swarlipi paddhati.

(6). Knowledge of Dadra, Keharwa and Tritaal and practice of writing the bol of the appropriate Taal group in Ekgun and Dugun Laykari.

(7).Ability to recognize raag by recognizing written group of swars.

(8).Biography-Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore and Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande.

Practical

(1).Knowledge of seven Shudha and five Vikrit swar.

(2).Practice of five easy Alankars.

(3).It is necessary to know Chota Khayal in Bilawal (or Alhaiya Bilawal) and Khamaj raags.

(4).Practice of singing the following groups of songs –

  • For Banga language speaking – Rabindra Sangeet (one), Regional lok geet (one), Swadesh Geet (one).
  • For speakers of other languages ​​– Swadesh Geet (one), Bhajan (one), Lok geet of our state (one), Ragasrit Geet (one).

(5).At least one song composed in Dadra, Keharwa and Tritaal and the practice of recitation the bol of these taal groups by showing Tali Khali on the hand.
