(5).Use of taal and lay in classical, easy and lok dances.

(6).History of different styles of dances, their comparison and characteristics.

(7).Knowledge of Indian and Western swarlipi paddhati.

(8).A study of the role of Indian kings in the development of Bharat Natyam.

(9).A study of the effects of Indian lok dances on the common people.

(10).Origin and development of Ghungroo and its importance in dance.

(11).Knowledge of the following – including shlok- (a).Shiro bhed, (b). Drishti-bhed,(c). Griwa-bhed.

(12).Knowledge of the following – Karan, Nrit, Hasta, Rechit, Pindi Bandha, Tandav, Taal, Pushpaput and Kalakshetra.

(13).Detailed study of Carnatic Taal paddhati, its various aspects, comparison between Carnatic and Northern Tala paddhati, knowledge of writing Carnatic Taal paddhati.

Practical

(1).The division of Jati Swaram with Saptaal should be in Tistra Jati or Chatastra Jati.

(2). Practical knowledge of other styles of South Indian dances like Kuchipudi or Mohini Attam.

(3).South indian lok dance like Janeri or Onam.

(4).Demonstration of ‘Makhan Chori’ or ‘Pootna Vadh’ in Bharat Natyam.

(5).Conversion of North Indian Taals into Bol according to division of Matras of South Indian Taals.

(6).Ability to perform Practically in any one of the following dance forms – Manipuri or Kathak.

(7).Knowledge of performance of some Lok dances of Madhya India and North India.

(8).Ability to perform aadhunik dances.

(9).Practical demonstration of Ang , Pratyang and their Upang.

(10).Dance performance in any one of the following styles- (a).Udayashankar dance, (b). Aadhunik dance style

(11).Ability to perform Karan and Anghar with all their variations.

(12).Practicing the following dance parts proficiently – Allarippu, Jathiswaram, Shabdam, Varnam, Padam, Keertanam, and Shlokas.

Note- The syllabus of previous years will be combined.

Stage performance

(1).The candidate will perform a dance prescribed in the syllabus on the stage for 30 minutes.
