Important Notes
(1) This is also a raag of the Carnatic system which is now very popular in northern India.
(2) According to the swaras of the Hindustani method, raag Kalavati is composed by barring Rishan and Madhyam in raag Jhinjhoti.
(3) A komal curve is used in the aaroh, but a straight one is used in the avaroh.
(4) The use of Ga Pa Ga Sa gives the feeling of Raag Shankara, but the nature of Raag Kalavati becomes clear by the use of Komal Ni and Dirig Chaivat.
