Devshree raag is believed to have originated from Kalyan thaat. In this raag Ni(k) is used as komal swar and Madhyam is used as tiwra. Gandhara and Dhaivat are not used and all remaining swars are used as shudha in this raag.Its jati is Audav- Audav(5,5).
