Gaud Malhar raag is believed to have originated from Khamaj thaat. All the swars are used as shudha in the aaroh and avaroh. Komal Nishad is used with Dhaivat only in avaroh. Its jati is Sampurn-Sampurn. In this raag Ma & Sa are Vadi & Samvadi swar .The singing time of this raag is 9 Pm To 12 Am (the second part of the night).

3.This is seasonal raag. This is sang any time in rany season.

4.Nishad is less in this. Mostly ni are left ni aaroh and avaroh.
