Theory
(1).Definition – Thaat, Varna, Anuvadi ,Raag and its jati, Samvadi,Vivadi, Antara, Sanchari, Abhog, Avartan, Theka.
(2).It is necessary to know the complete introduction of the raag group set in this year.
(3).Brief introduction-Baul, Bhatiyali, Hori, Kajri and Kirtan.
(4).Introduction to the instrument – Tabla.
(5).Information about Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande Swarlipi paddhati.
(6).Practice of writing the bol of the Theka of the prescribed laykari group in Thah and Dugun Laykari.
(7).Identification of raag by looking at the written swar group.

Practical
(1).Practice of five difficult Alankars on the Aaroh and Avaroh of Bhairav and Kafi raags.
(2).It is necessary to know Chhota Khyal in the following raga groups – Bhairav, Kafi and Yaman.
(3).Practice singing the following song-
- For Bangla language speakers, Rabindra Sangeet (one), Nazrul Geet (one), Bhajan (two), Swadesh Gaan (one), Atul Prasad (one), Raag Baddha (two) (Bhairavi and Bihaag)
- For other language speakers, Lok geet (one), Bhajan (two), Swadesh gaan (one), any song (two) of raag Bhairavi and Bihag and National geet of their own state.
(4).Practice of reciting the bol of Teevra and Jhaptaal ,Taal’s theka in Thah and Dugun laykari by showing Tali -Khali hand .
