Early Life –
- Fauzia was born in 1967. She is the daughter of Mobarak Hossain Khan, former director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and chairman of the board of trustees of Nazrul Institute, and Fauzia Khan, a vocal artist. She is the granddaughter of Ustad Ayat Ali Khan.
- Fauzia started music lessons from his cousin Ustad Shahadat Hussain Khan, a sarod player from Bangladesh. Later, he received guru-shishya-parampara musical training from his cousin, sitar preacher Ustad Khurshid Khan.
- He completed a five-year certificate course on sitar from the Music Institute of Bangladesh, Chhayanaut. She later joined the faculty of the same institute as a teacher.
Career –
- After learning sitar for twelve years, she became involved in participating in programs of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
- She also appears on stage to perform solo recitals on the sitar. During her tour to the US, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Philippines and Hong Kong, she performed recitals on the sitar.
