- MK. Sankaran Namboothiri is a Carnatic classical music vocalist and playback singer from Kerala. He is the youngest A Top grade singer of All India Radio.
- Renowned as a child prodigy, he attended C.S. Started learning music under the tutelage of Narayanan Namboodiri.
- Later he worked with T.V. Gopalakrishnan, Mavelikkara Prabhakar Varma and K. Trained under V. Narayanaswamy. He has conducted concerts in India as well as in many foreign countries.

- Shankaran Namboothiri was born in the year 1971 to Krishnan Namboothiri and Aditi Devi Antharjanom. His native place is ‘Punnayam’ (Assamannur village). His elder brother was Narayanan Namboodiri (college lecturer at BTB College, Palakkad).
- He is married to Ms. Smita Sankaran of Cherthala and they have a child named Sangeetha Krishnan. Presently living in Vennala, Cochin.
