Early Life –

• Gauri Pathare is an Indian composer, singer and classical singer. He was born and brought up in the state of Maharashtra.
• Gauri Pathare completed her graduation from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• After that, she went to NIIT Institute in Mumbai to pursue post-graduation in programming. Despite her technical background, Gauri Pathare was inspired to pursue a career in music by listening to her mother, Dr. Vidya Damle, who was a student of the eminent musician Pt. Padmashree.

Training-

• Initially received training under the guidance of Pt. Gangadharbuva Pimpalkhare of Kirana Gharana, Pathare acquired the knowledge of music from late Pandit.
• Since 2010, she has been receiving Jaipur Gharana training under Pandit. Arun Dravid. His training under various gurus influenced his singing. She has trained in 3 gharanas – Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana, Gwalior Gharana and Kirana Gharana. Gauri has blended the singing of Jaipur, Gwalior and Kirana Gharana to create her own style of Khayal presentation.

Career–

• Over the years, Gauri Pathare has become a leading figure in the contemporary field of Indian classical music. His musical journey began under the tutelage of Pandit.
• Apart from her performances, Gauri Pathare hosts the annual Indian classical music festival ‘Parle Swar Vasant’ in Mumbai every February.
• This is a tradition which she has been following since 2014. Apart from music, she is also a trustee of the Cosmic Arts Foundation and has been a Cultural Goodwill Ambassador for Arkansas USA in the office of Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe.
