(1).Knowledge of Lay- Practice of showing the stability of Lay, Vilambit, Madhya, Drut lay, Dugun Chaugun and different simple Matra-Vibhag by Tali on each Matra.

(a).For the students of Tabla, recitation in Thah and Dugun by Tali the Theka of Jhaptaal, Teentaal, Ektaal, Chartaal and Dadra taals and playing them on the tabla.
(b).Sooltaal and Tevra on Mridang and recitation in Thah and Dugun.
(3)-
(a).In Teental, four simple Qaida with four Palat, two types of Theka, two Mohre, two Tihe and two simple. Two small pieces each in Jhaptaal, Ektaal and Chartaal. Some types of Theka of Dadra.
(b). For the students of Mridang, knowledge of playing 4-4 ​​Paran in Chartaal, Sooltaal and Tevra Taal and two simple Tihe in all three Taals.
Theory
(1).Knowledge of Varn of Tabla or Mridang (Pakhawaj).

(3).Knowledge of the following definitions and topics-Lay , Vilambit , Madhya , Drut , Matra, Tali, Vibhag, Khali , Thah , Dugun , Chaugun ,Theka , Bol , Qaida , Palta ,Tihai , Mohra , Mukhda , Kisme , Piece, Aavartan.
(4).Knowledge and description of parts of Tabla or Mridang.
(5).General knowledge of the origin of Tabla or Mridang.
(6).General knowledge of Bhatkhande and Vishnu Digambar paddhati of swarlipi.
