Important notes:-
- Raag Shahana is a variant of Kohda. It is addressed only with the naam of Shahana. This is Uttarang Pradhan Raga. The company of Sa and Dha is very good in this.
- Pancham and Tar Sa are very important notes in this. The association of Ni(k)Pa is repeatedly shown. Each Aalap ends with Kanhra Ang Ga Ma Re Sa.
- In Uttarang, most chords from Pancham go directly to Sa, but Ma Pa Dha Ni(k)Sa*, the swar group is not evil. Sometimes it is also used.
- Sudha Ni is sparingly used in aaroh with the Tar Sa. musican consider this Ma to be a mixture of Bahar, Adana, Bageshree and Malhar raag.
