Introduction –
- Dama is a percussion instrument made of wood, parchment and soft material. It is a folk instrument found in Tripura and Meghalaya.
Use –
- A large cylindrical wooden drum, tapering to the right. Both faces are covered with skin and fixed by means of leather braces. Hanged around the neck and played with both hands. Used by the tribal communities of Tripura.
