Shikhar Taal is the taal of Indian classical music or Hindustani Classical Music. is played on the Tabla as well as on other percussion instruments.

Both hands are used to see the rhythm on the hand.

1st Partition  – Clap on first matra from right hand to left hand and counting 6 times and speaking the words (Bols)

2nd Partition  – Keep the 7th Matra empty with the right hand, count 6 times with the right hand and speak the words(Bols).

Third Partition  – – Clap on 13th Matra from right hand to left hand and count 2 times and speaking words(bols).

4th Partition – Clap on 15th Matra from right hand to left hand and count 3 times and speaking words(bols).
