Pakad- Pa Ma(t)Pa, Ga Ma Ga Re Ga – Re Sa, .Ni .Dha .Ni Re Ga.

Thaat- Kalyan thaat .

Vadi- Samvadi swar-  Pa and Sa.

Jati- Sampurn -Sampurn(7,7).

Singing time -6 am to 9 am (the first part of the day).

Important Notes:-

1.This is beautiful Combination of Yaman and Bilawal raag. Some singers do not believe in this.

2.Some singers believe in this is raag of Bilawal that but mostly singers say that this is raag of Kalyan thaat.

3.Both Madhyam are used in this. Shudh madhyam introduce Bilawal’s organ and twira Madhayam introduce Kalyan’s organ. Mostly twira Madhyam used in aroh and shudh Madhyam used in avaroh, As Re Ga Ma(t)Pa, Dha Pa Ma(t)Pa, Ga Ma Re Ga, Re Sa, .Ni .Dha .Ni Re Sa. Sometimes Twira Ma Used as Yaman Kalyan in avaroh. As Pa Ma(t)Ga Ma Ga Re Ga, Re Sa .Ni Sa. Shudh Ma has special place as comparison to Twira Ma in this raag. Sometimes Shudha Ma used in aaroh which is introduce Bilawal’s organ.

4.It is more pronounced in avaroh. Prat kaleen raag mostly occur in the avaroh.

5.Details of this raag is equal in all three octaves.

6.Some singers used soft Ni between two Dhaivat sometimes as similar in Alheya Bilawal. Some singer used komal Ni very much. Method of use as follow – Ga Ma Re Ga Pa, Ga Pa Dha Ni(k) Dha Pa Ma(t) Pa. Komal Ni are used in Alheya Bilawal, Only shudh Ni are use in Bilawal. If it’s not use thera are not harm. Hence komal Ni should be vivadi swar not anuvadi swar.

7.Some singers believe in it is raag of Shadav-Samporn jati and they don’t use Madhyam in aaroh. People who believe in Samporn jati they also use less Madhyam in aaroh.

8.Some singers believe Sa-Pa and Ga-Dha as vadi-samvadi swar. Sa-Pa and Ga Dha can be considered as vadi-samvadi swar in this raag due to Utrang pradhan raag. Pancham is important swar of this raag hence it can be considered as vadi swar.
