Important Notes:-
1.Shudh rishabh is used in Aaroh and komal in avaroh. This raag kept in asavari thaat due to ashavari pradhan practice. Vocally only rishabh is different of asavari and bhairavi raag. Hence it can keep in both asavari and bhairavi thaat, But it kept in asavari thaat due to asavari practice.
2.Aaroh of this raag is similar to jaunpuri and Avaroh of this raag to similar bilashkhani todi . Vocally avaroh can be of bhairavi raag but it’s not fair, because of this is raag of serious nature.
3.This is utrang pradhan raag. This is playing in utrang of middle octave and higher octave similar in jaunpuri raag and in Tar Saptak, but in Purvang, this raag is clarified by the use of both Rishabh and gets separated from Samprakriti raag.
4.The association of Sa Dha(k) is show very much in this raag. Some singers start their program with it. When going Sa to Dha(k) then take kan of Nishad with meend. As- Sa Ni(k) Dha(k) Ni(k) Dha(k) Pa.
5.Kan of madhyam is used on rishbh in aaroh and take kan Ma and Ga(k) as – Sa MaRe Ma Pa, Ma Re Ma Pa MaRe Ma Pa Ma Ga – GaRe(k) Re(k)Sa
Some musican consider Pa Sha as vadi- Samvadi. This is Uttarang Pradhan Raag. In its Uttarang, Pa & Dha(k) can take the place of swar vadi in Purvang, Sa or Ga(k) can take the place of Samvadi.
