Deepchandi Taal is the most common taal of Indian classical music or Hindustani Classical Music. It is played on the Tabla as well as on other percussion instruments.

Deepchandi Taal has 14 Beats (matras)  in four partitions (Vibhag). The 1st and 3rd partitions  are of 3-3 matras and the 2 nd and 4 th partitions are of 4-4 matras. There is clapping on 1st, 4th and 11 th matra and khali on 8 th matra or beat .Deepchandi Taal played on the table in Ekgun , Dugun , Tigun and Chaugun.

Third Partition  – Keep the 8 th Matra empty with the right hand, count 3 times with the right hand and speak the words(Bols).
